Photolumen

I was always interested in the ways how the “interface” of a particular city can appear in an other urban context. That is why I like the manenmane project by Kitchen Budapest. But for now a less conceptual experience of a place in Budapest in Mikszáth square, Palotanegyed district.

I was looking for a Flohmarkt on a Saturday when I discovered The Lumen Gallery and Café. A small gallery that also offers nice and cheap plates of hummus where budapest bobo’s listening to techno sitting at tables covered by red checkered table cloth while tinkering with their macs and drinking latte macchiato. Children running around and surprisingly no angry neighbors yelling because of the loud music.  What is that other than a Saturday (or everyday) experience in Berlin Kastanianallee?
